Our Concept

So, what's our concept. We as a family love camping!! Love the outdoors!! Love a warm cup of fresh made coffee as the sun rises!! Love sunsets and a cozy campfire in the evening underneath a starry sky! We also like a bit of comfort! And I love a dip in fresh water on a warm sunny day! This is what we want to offer to you! We strive to make your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible, with still a little tickle of rustic living. We want to create a place we ourselves would love to stay at!

From the moment you arrive you will receive a warm welcome from one or more of our hosts! Our little Emma loves meeting new people! You will get a tour of our little piece of paradise which includes a beautiful natural swimming pond. We'll show you our pool house where you can, day or night, take a nice warm shower or just freshen up a bit. We will then lead you to our rustic Shepherds Hut tucked away under the trees in the corner of our little field spotted with apple, pear, cherry and walnut trees. As we walk to your cozy nest, you will also be greeted by our friends in the field Jack, Jill, Jynx and Arthur, our three donkeys and shetland pony. They will keep you company throughout your stay, but don't worry, they also love people and are very friendly, and will make sure they don't bother you to much. And Shadow, our child and people friendly border collie keeps an eye on everything. Your Shepherds Hut is full of coziness and comfort with a queen size bed, a reading chair, small table and bench where you can easily enjoy a snack or meal and a small but very convenient kitchenette with running water. And don't worry, you will still be able to charge your cellphone, the Shepherds Hut is equipped with electricity. Scared of being chilly at night or even on a cold day? Have no fear, the Shepherds Hut is also equipped with a tiny fireplace imported all the way from Canada! And don't let the tiny size of it fool you, I promise you, it will keep you nice and toasty no matter how cold it is!! After the tour you are free to enjoy all the facilities that Kev's Getaway offers to you!

Ons concept is heel eenvoudig: wij houden van kamperen. Wij houden van het buiten leven. Wij houden van een kopje vers gemaakte koffie wanneer de zon de eerste stralen uitzendt. Wij houden van een zonsondergang en van de warmte die een kampvuur geeft onder de sterren. Bovendien houd ik van een frisse duik op een warme zonnige dag.  Wij houden ook een beetje van comfort. En dat alles, dat is wat we jou ook willen aanbieden. Wij streven ernaar om uw verblijf zo aangenaam en comfortabel mogelijk te maken, in een rustieke achtergrond. Een verblijf waar we zelf op vakantie zouden willen gaan.
 
Vanaf het moment dat je voet op ons terrein zet, wordt je warm verwelkomt. Ons klein meisje, Emma, houdt ervan om nieuwe mensen te ontmoeten, en wij ook. Je krijgt een kleine rondleiding in ons West-Vlaams paradijs met zwemvijver. Je hebt een poolhouse ter beschikking, waar je dag of nacht jezelf kan opfrissen en/of douchen. Daarna nemen we je mee naar de Shepherds Hut die wat verborgen staat tussen de vele fruitbomen, in het uiterste hoekje van ons terrein. Op weg naar de rustieke Hut zal je verwelkomd worden door onze vrienden in de weide: de ezels Jack, Jill en Jynx en de pony, Arthur. Deze mensvriendelijke viervoeters zullen ze je gezelschap houden gedurende je verblijf. Eveneens onze kindvriendelijke bordercolie zal alles in de gaten houden.
 De Shepherds Hut is gezellig ingericht met alle nodige voorzieningen en comfort. Naast lopend water en elektriciteit is er ook een klein kitchenette, een tafel, een zetel en een bed. Tijdens de koude dagen/nachten kan je je opwarmen aan een uit Canada ingevoerde houtstoof. Laat je je niet afschrikken door de grootte van de houtstoof, ik beloof je dat je snel heel warmt gaat hebben.
 
Na de rondleiding laten we je rustig genieten van alles wat Kevs Getaway je kan bieden.
